Why Do People Lie In Relationships?
Individuals choose to lie for many underlying causes. Their reasons could be well-intentioned and innocent. Or they could be calculated attempts of causing pain. These reasons might include the following:
- To avoid conflict, embarrassment, or having to face the consequences of their actions
- Fear of rejection or losing someone
- Hiding something they did or didn’t do
- Controlling a situation
- Making themselves look good, successful, special, or more talented than they are
- Postponing having to make life-changing decisions
- Trying to protect someone’s feelings
While some people are liars because they’re trying to protect their significant other’s feelings or avoid conflict, these and other lies can still cause concerns in a relationship by decreasing trust.
Just because you notice some of the signs of a liar in your partner, it doesn’t mean that all hope is lost. You should consider this couples therapy workbook to help you get back on track again.

See things in pink and seems all the bad actors in the pictures are men. This smells of misandry.

WHEN I SWEAR AND POUR MY HEART OUT, THEY STILL DONT BELIEVE, THATS WHEN I GET
PISSED. THIS HAPPENED TO ME. YEARS AGO, PEOPLE TOLD MY EX LIES, SHE BELIEVED THEM WITHOUT QUESTIONING OR TALKING TO ME WHICH BROKE US UP.
I LOVED HER. IT BROKE MY HEART, SO SHE REALLY DIDNT LOVE ME.
IT WAS HER OUT TO USE THAT EXCUSE BELIEVING OTHERS WITHOUT TALKING TO ME.
SHE ACCUSED ME WHILE SHE WAS THE LIER.
