2. Eros (Romantic Love)

Of all the types of love, Eros is the primal love you feel for your romantic partner. It is often expressed through physical affection but is not limited by it. The name “Eros” comes from the Greek god with the same name, the god of love and fertility.

Eros was viewed as dangerous and terrifying by the ancient Greeks because it implied a “loss of control” due to a desire to procreate. Romantic and physical feelings are believed to be sparked by the passionate and intense kind of love known as eros.

One thing that is often misunderstood about eros love is that it doesn’t need to last a lifetime. As we just said, there are many types of love, and this one is probably the most intense and passionate one. Because of this, it can last for a few months or a few years.

Oftentimes, a love like this can burn out very fast, and this might lead to the relationship ending very soon. On the other hand, this is the same force that can make it deeper and more intimate.
