6. Get creative in the kitchen
You already know that love goes through your stomach, and since we’re talking about post-divorce hobbies that will help you rediscover yourself, why not get creative in the kitchen so you can fall back in love with yourself?
Go to the farmer’s market and pick up all the ingredients that make your mouth water and experiment with different recipes, because it’s amazing to take care of yourself. My friend told me that when her former husband left home, she realized how poorly she had taken care of herself over the last few years.
She ate lots of burgers, pizza, and French fries, but being alone helped her focus on herself and on the things she wanted. She knew that a healthier lifestyle was going to help her mental and physical health, so she started experimenting with different things in the kitchen and was blown away by the results.
It might seem like something weird and not that important, but taking care of yourself and making yourself happy in the first place are going to play a crucial role in your life and also in finding someone else to spend the rest of your life with.
Whatever might be your post-divorce hobbies, don’t forget to do what feels good to you and experiment with all the things that you want. You’ll see that after the grieving period, everything will be fine, and you’ll be whole again.
