I remember that on our first date, we went to the movies, and we saw something terrible that neither of us liked. Then we went out and drank a glass of wine. I kept thinking about how cute he was and how much I would like to see him again—that was something special to me because I used to be the type of woman who went on dates a lot but didn’t end up with any of the guys she was seeing.

And then it was time to say goodbye, and I was nervous that the night was going to end and I didn’t know if I was going to see him ever again. Let’s take a stroll,” she said. And that, my friends, was the moment I knew I was going on a second date with him.

2. You make them laugh

5. They didn’t bring up intimacy-related subjects

We’re all grown-ups here, which means that talking about intimacy is not a taboo subject. However, as normal as it is to talk about bedroom time, bringing it up during the first date is definitely not the best idea.

It gives off the impression that there’s nothing meaningful about your connection and that the only thing that matters is getting to the bedroom. No, no, no! If the person you’re dating begins talking about steamy times while you’re seeing each other for the first time, you’d better believe that this is what they want from you.

On the other hand, if your date didn’t say anything about intimacy, that’s your clue that things are serious and that they want to see more of you because they do indeed like you, not the idea of you know what. I’m not a goody-goody myself, but I think it’s a form of respect to not bring up intimate subjects the first time you meet someone, am I right?

6. They make eye contact

I don’t know about you, but I feel that when someone looks me in the eyes when I talk, it means that they’re really engaged in the conversation and they really pay attention to what I’m saying.

If your date is looking at you while you’re talking to them, it’s a clear sign that they’re interested in the things you’re saying and that they want to know you better one date at a time. As you already know, the eyes are the window to the soul, so it has to have a meaning, right?

7. They want to know your background

This is one of the cutest and most sincere signs ever, so pay attention to it. When someone is interested in you and wants to get to know you better, which means asking you for a second date, they don’t want to waste any precious time, so they ask you as many questions as possible.

This means that they’re curious to know where you grew up, what your family is like, if you have any children or grandchildren, where you went to school, and so many other things. If they ask you questions that are similar to these ones, get ready for another date, because it is closer than you think. At the end of the day, nobody wants to discover the past of someone they don’t care about seeing again, right?

8. They share personal details

If you like someone, you probably want them to learn a little bit about you while you have the chance to be together, right? Well, if your date starts sharing all sorts of details about their personal life, they surely want to see more of you in the future.

The stories they tell you are for you to understand who they really are and what they expect from a potential romantic relationship. So if you like them too, then you can ask for further details about the things they share with you, and maybe you’ll see some fireworks pretty soon.

9. He walks you to your door

This reminds me of the popular 2000s show “S*x and the City,” because all of the men Carry Bradshaw has ever dated walked her to her door after the date was over.

So if your date does the same thing, it might be because they want to spend a few extra minutes with you. Why would they do that if they didn’t like you? You might say that this is only a sign of courtesy, but some people aren’t that nice to want to hang out for a little longer with someone they don’t have any plans to meet up with any time soon.

So how you end your night and how things develop between you two is entirely up to you. Who knows? Maybe they’re the ones. But trust me, if your date made every minute fly by and walks you to your door just to hang out a few more minutes with you, they’ll call you soon.
