You’re Never Clear On What’s Going On
Like our first point, this one can also be a red flag that you’re living with a liar. After so many years together, they could still love you without actually being “in love” with you anymore.
One of the worst feelings you can have in any sort of relationship is the feeling that you don’t have clarity from your partner or the situation you’re in. Besides being confusing, it can create insecurities, which might mean that they’re not being truthful with you.
For instance, when your partner says: “I love you,” you obviously presume that they mean they’re in love with you. However, it’s quite possible that they could mean that they love you but aren’t in love with you.
Even though, in this instance, your partner might not exactly be lying, they’re also not being transparent. And the resulting lack of transparency can wreak havoc on any relationship.
