Romanticism is one of the things that make people feel happy, secure, and loved. I love it when I notice that people around me hug, kiss, and hold hands, but these are not the only signs that your partner is romantic. If you want to know more about this topic, here’s the article you should read.

Is your partner romantic?

Whether you’re a man or a woman, one thing is for sure: we all love a little romanticism from time to time. It makes us feel special, supported, loved, happy, and even a little spoiled.

If you’ve been dating someone new for the last couple of weeks or months, you’ve probably noticed that they do anything to impress you. But that doesn’t only apply to new lovers. Your spouse can also show off their romantic sign, regardless of how long you’ve been together.

Being close to one another and surprising one another with little things can keep the spark alive and make you both more excited about the time you spend together.

How do you know whether your partner is a genuine romantic at heart or if they’re simply going through the motions after the novelty of the relationship has worn off? Well, we’re here to help you figure it out, and it’s simpler than you would imagine. So let’s find out together!

1. They plan things for you

Some people say that men hate when their girlfriends plan things for them and say that only women care about this sort of thing. But that’s not true. I still remember that when my partner and I began dating, I made a reservation at a restaurant we’d both never been to, and I also took care of the bill since I was the one who planned the whole evening.

He was so delighted that I took the initiative, and he couldn’t believe that he was treated like that by a woman. So yeah, we can say that everyone wants to be spoiled from time to time, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Speaking of that, dealing with someone who never makes plans is one of the most frustrating aspects of being in a relationship. It’s annoying to constantly have to come up with date ideas when the other person simply does nothing. It just suggests a lack of interest and even disrespect for their partner.

2. They’re comfortable around you

Your partner might not be comfortable showing off their emotions in front of other people, but if they feel safe doing so with you, that’s all that should count.

A lot of people are hesitant to show their emotions since they don’t want other people to consider them sensitive and weak and then mock them for the feelings they have. However, if you’re talking to a romantic person, they won’t care too much about what you think and will open up to you in a hurry.

If you’re with someone who isn’t afraid to open up around you and to share all their secrets with you, it means that they trust you and that they see you as a valuable person in their life.

3. They treat you with respect

Even though respect is one of the most crucial aspects of every relationship, it doesn’t have to be bought or earned through over-the-top actions. Having respect for someone shouldn’t be a taboo subject, because it’s actually common sense and courtesy to treat someone politely.

There are many ways your partner can demonstrate their love for you, but nothing is more meaningful than their consistent respect for you. Having respect for someone you’re in a relationship with means that they care about what you want to say, they’ll think about your needs, they’ll talk to you about things that you both have to decide, and they’ll always talk to you nicely.

If they do these things, they’re keepers, so don’t forget that!

4. They remember important details

Some people, particularly women, are more likely to have an impressive memory for every anniversary, birthday, the first day you met, the place where you took her when you told her how much you care about her, and other significant dates or events in their relationship.

But everyone loves it when their partner makes an effort and remembers all these sorts of details. It gives off the feeling that they’re romantic and that they’re truly considerate of the relationship.

However, don’t take it the wrong way, and don’t focus too much on this. If your significant other doesn’t remember everything you might want them to, it doesn’t mean that they don’t care about you; they simply can’t stock all sorts of details and that’s absolutely normal. The most important thing in a couple is the way you treat each other, no matter who’s got the best memory!

5. They help you when you need it

Sadly, no one can fulfill all your emotional requirements, but a romantic relationship might get close. That’s why a lot of singles are on the lookout for love. It makes you feel good, and sometimes it can give you a purpose and will motivate you to do more things and become the best version of yourself.

A supportive partner will not (and should not) do everything for you, but they will be there to celebrate your victories and support you through your setbacks. When they can’t really help, they’ll provide tips or ideas instead, telling you what’s the best way to deal with your problems.

A romantic partner and someone who really cares about you will be there when you need them. You can always count on them to be understanding and listen to you, no matter what’s going on.

6. They spoil you

You should realize that someone pampering their significant other doesn’t always include expensive gifts or activities. True romantics know that it’s the little things that matter, and that’s what sets them apart from other people who might like you too.

Some budget-friendly romantic gestures include cooking your favorite meal, baking your beloved treat, waking you up with a hot cup of coffee, or drawing you a bath with bubbles.

7. Your happiness is important to them

When you’re with someone, you want to make them happy and notice how good they feel when they spend time with you and when you talk to them. To put it in simpler words, a romantic partner will make sure that your happiness is a priority for them.

There might be cases when they’ll go out of their way to make you happy, and this is reflected in everything they do. Moreover, they might find romantic fulfillment in knowing that they’re the cause of your joy, so pay attention of they do so.

8. They constantly have romantic gestures

A man might easily show his romantic side on special occasions like your birthday, Valentine’s Day, or when you’re on vacation. But what about on a random Tuesday morning or Saturday night in October? That’s where genuine romantics, particularly men, stand out.

If they’re romantic with you every day of the year, regardless of the date, then you know that they are that way because of who they are and not because of any specific occasion.

9. You feel safe when you’re around them

Protecting one another is essential to healthy partnerships. A partner who really cares for you would never intentionally do harm to you or your belongings. They won’t force you to do anything against your will, interfere with your ability to make your own choices, or ask you to stay away from the people who care about you.

Being in a strong relationship means not worrying about the other person’s reaction to your choices or how you express yourself. When you open up about your thoughts, goals, and aspirations, they’ll be there to meet you with support and encouragement, not judgment. They’ll be there to cheer you on.

However, anger is a normal human emotion, but there are positive outlets for getting rid of frustration. A loving spouse would never threaten you or use anger as a form of punishment or fear, remember that. If they lose their cool and temper, they might be quick to agree to step back for a few moments and change the tone, so that everything works out well in the end.

If you want to bring excitement back into your relationship and surprise your partner with a romantic date night, I know exactly what you should do. Try out this game for couples, and I guarantee you that you’ll have fun and enjoy each other’s company. See, romantic dates don’t have to take place only in fancy restaurants!
