Next on our list of things that predict divorce is the age you get married. The best time to get married is definitely when you feel ready and, of course, when you’ve found someone you think you’re compatible with.
According to the research, couples who join their lives through marriage in their teens or after age 32 are at greater risk of ending up divorcing than couples in their late 20s and early 30s. The experts point out that the risk is especially high for teenage couples.
Nicholas Wolfinger, a professor at the University of Utah studying marriages, found that your odds of divorce go up by around 5% every year. He pointed out that, for almost everyone, the late 20s seems to be the best time to tie the knot.
Of course, just because a study says that these things predict divorce doesn’t mean that you have to force anything or put it off.
