Since people with narcissistic personality disorder may be less likely to realize how their behaviors affect you, it’s very important that you make your concerns heard. While your reaction may be to stay quiet for the sake of “keeping the peace”, this may work against you in the end.
When it comes to narcissistic people, any criticism, even slight ones, can irritate them. Being prepared for a defensive attitude or strong reaction when you talk with them is also important.
According to experts, when you deal with a narcissistic partner, not allowing them to trample, demean, or diminish your authentic feelings and thoughts should be one of your top priorities.
