7. Let negativity go
When a marriage is on the verge of divorce, it’s not weird to be stuck in a fighting cycle that keeps repeating. If you have negative emotions toward one another and divorce is one of the things that’s always on your mind, that’s not going to do any good for your marriage.
If your partner has a critical attitude and you get defensive, that’s never going to end, and it only hurts the both of you. So be mindful of how you react, and if there are any negative feelings from either of you, it’s best to talk about them, explain why you feel like that, and then move on.
There’s no need for silent treatment, being defensive, angry, or being too harsh or critical. Just be open to discussions, and you’ll notice that you’ll feel better after a while and that divorce is no longer going to be a problem.
