1. Take Pride in Your Appearance

Let’s get one thing straight: taking pride in your appearance doesn’t mean you must look “20 years old.” It rather means that you should celebrate the self-confidence that comes with aging and which you probably lacked in your 20s.

This also doesn’t mean that you should try to look perfect. In fact, chances are that you gave up on trying to do that in your senior years compared to when you were in your 20s, and that’s a wonderful thing. If you’re feeling good about yourself, nothing else should matter.

So go ahead and dress up a little. This is pretty important, especially when it comes to a first date. Wear something that portrays your style and personality, and make sure you’re comfortable in your clothes and footwear.
