When dating a widower, you MUST be considerate of their feelings. There could be times when all you can and should do is be by their side and be respectful. Anniversaries, birthdays, or death anniversaries can be challenging for your partner.
You should ask them if you can do anything to help. Suppose they want to be alone. That’s okay. And you should respect that. You can’t just erase your partner’s memories of their deceased spouse. But you CAN always create new traditions and memories together.
