These 8 Superstitions Might Change Your Love Life

5. Consult Flower Petals

You definitely know this one. This game, sometimes known as the daisy oracle, dates back to medieval times, and people have played it since then. It’s about as simple as love superstitions can get: Pluck a petal, saying, “She (or he) loves me,” then pick another off and say, “She (or he) loves me not.” Repeat the whole thing.

Whichever one you say when you pluck the last petal should be taken as the indisputable truth about that person’s feelings for you. This game became so popular that it even ended up being mentioned in Goethe’s “Faust” in the 1800s. Some people claim it has French roots, but it’s hard to say if that’s true.
