1. Break Out the Doves
There are many bird superstitions out there. When it comes to doves, you probably know they symbolize peace, holiness, and, yes, love. It’s believed that they mate for life, so that’s likely the reason why they are released during weddings as a symbol of the couple’s commitment.
The doves are said to even add an extra dose of luck. To be honest, the moment when these birds fly up to the sky is pretty enchanting.
By the same token, killing a dove is said to bring a lot of bad luck. We still don’t know how helpful it will be to have doves released at your wedding, but it’s always nice if you say “no” to killing a harmless bird.
